Waste of usefull information, No discussion on how to fix ANYTHING thats wrong with the game in its current form, Everything catered to PVE only (not that I mind but would have been nice to get at least one question for others who like to participate in PVP), No new information outside of inscriptions, stupid questions in some cases... Im so glad i missed that and regret having read it.

I have no idea why Anet decided to do something like this, but downloading a program often considered full of spyware so I could be there is one thing. Finding out that the chat is horrible slow (like 5 questions per hour or something?), the answers are not even close to answers and the questions are not even close to questions is something completely different. They better get some nice money out of it, since for the rest it was just a total waste of time for the players, the devs and for Gamespy.

I installed it and ever since, my virus scanner was spazzing out. They must have loaded that thing
GJ Anet. Hosting a chat that results in:
-Maybe 2 relevant answers in an hour
-Results in everyone getting harassed by a poser admin (gamespy's fault though)
-Spyware for all! (both of their faults... they should have picked a better program to chat on)

I was very very disapointed too reading that whole conversation. Glad i never downloaded anything or attended it, i sort of had a feeling anet would let us down. The whole chat was basically on gw en or gw 2. Things which have either been discussed or are like far into the future. What about questions like the state of HA and what is being done about it? Where were these, surely some pvpers concerned about this issue were there. I know if i could grill anet i would have tons of questions for them. Many which i have placed on the forums which have been blatantly ignored by the devs or galie or alex.
The chat should have been labled chat with the devs on gw en or gw 2. Finally when i thought anet were doing something right as well, they proved me wrong again i guess. I spent my time reading that whole chat also just praying a question on HA would be selected but as you can see that never happened. GG mite as well go back to campaigning for the removal of kill count from HA and the introduction of alter maps again because obviously thats the only place i may get answers.

1. open a log of the chat
2. ctrl+f
3. type "PVP"
4. see the one irrelevent result.
5. realize that Anets single dev that has ever experianced any form of PVP ever is absent from the chat.
6. uninstall

That's because Izzy [claimed he] wasn't there, if you look at the beginning of the chat log. He just so happened to answers a question later. He's afraid of the people.

I would be scared of the people too if everyone seemed to become infuriated every time I attempted to bring balence to the game.

Next time someone should ask if GE:EN items/skills are compatible with earlier chapters. e.g. Can we use the captured PvE only skills in Nightfall? Or is it like the LOD expansion of Diablo2 where you can't use the new stuff in the original game because its too powerfull...

HEY Zinger,
I'm surprised that your disappointed at the chat. You predicted it yourself, how the chat log will turn out, remember. So shouldn't you have more of a "told you so" attitude towards the chat?
not much new information was offered, and I'm happy i didn't care to join in.

Can PvPers pretty much skip this expansion? As it doesn't bring that much to the table , except make 1-2 fotm builds. GG on this expansion for a PVP based game.

If we go and transfer stuff in HoM... will we still be able to use it in GW... and will we be able to earn more for HoM after our GW2 characters inherite it?
Mike says, "Yes, and yes. Building a monument to an accomplishment does not take that accomplishment away from you. And even after you link a character in GW2 to your Hall of Monuments...
... you can continue to build monuments in Guild Wars and they will benefit you in GW2.

As expected. Nothing worthwhile came from this Dev Chat.
The only thing that surprised me is the overwhelming EToN questions. No real issues were addressed at all.

wow, anet's sunk to a new low. Coming on a string of new lows.
-abusive, hostile mods whispering insults and obscenities to people asking questions
-virtually every question was non-gw related or has been covered by a faq or magazine
-completely avoided the pressing issues of both the current broken aspects of gw or substantive questions about future gw's
gaile, I'd suggest you follow Alex's lead, because you aren't doing your job
